Social Media Strategy
While at Nader’s Gallery I worked to improve our social media presence. The gallery is a local, family-owned framing and furniture store. Our top-of-mind awareness for new and long-time customers was critical to the business's success.
I looked at the gallery’s instagram analytics and discovered the post with the highest engagement was the business's owners at Soul Cycle — nothing to do with the business itself. This helped me understand that we needed to focus on creating two types of content:
1. Beautiful product images of the store with cute/clever captions. This content reached users outside of Nader’s network and engaged people from insta's explore page.
2. A focus on people, especially the business owners. Many longtime customers were first and foremost friends of the owners.
By being stratigic with our content, audience engagement skyrocketed. We went from an average of 10-20 likes per post to 60-100. This leap in social media engagement was significant in the niche custom-framing industry.
Outbound Marketing
Nader’s Gallery employed a variety of outbound marketing strategies, including digital billboards. The gallery purchased ad space on five digital billboards throughout the Shreveport-Bossier City area. Because digital billboards offer great flexibility, I created five to ten new digital billboards every week to promote as many of our new products as possible.
As the holiday season approached, we ramped up our billboard usage and saw a dramatic increase in customer foot traffic. We recieved mulitple calls per day about specific products seen on our billboards.
I focused on creating eye-catching graphics as well as clever slogans.
Event planning and design
I planned three events at Nader's Gallery in fall 2019. These events included an artist's open house, featuring thirty local artists, a holiday open house, and a holiday cocktail party.
I created and directed all marketing, design, and communications for these events. The marketing materials I created were e-mails, signage, social media posts, and billboards. I also retained and coordinated with caterers, local restaurants and bars, and all participating artists.
Additionally, I ensured that everything ran smoothly on the day of the events. I managed ticket sales, assisted and made sales to customers, and served drinks.
